Why we are CXO
Empowering individuals and small businesses is at the heart of what we do. It’s about giving you back the power. My life and career have taken a unique path, and looking back, it almost feels predetermined. Growing up, my family didn’t have much, but I was surrounded by people who did. This set me on a course to discover how they achieved their success. Over the past twenty years, I’ve dedicated myself to studying money, economics, marketing, banking, and insurance to understand how these systems work.
I became an auditor, where I audited over a hundred different entities, ranging from small businesses with $100,000 in revenue to multibillion-dollar conglomerates. I saw firsthand what made organizations succeed and what led to their failure. After my auditing career, I served as CFO for multiple nine-figure organizations, where I increased revenue and reallocated expenses to enhance market competitiveness.
During these years, I recognized a significant gap in the small business and personal finance market. The tools that make large organizations successful were not available to individuals and small businesses. This realization that collaboration is key led me to found CXO. At CXO, we are developing systems to empower small business owners and individuals to fight back against the systems designed to work against them. We aim to change the game for American business owners and individuals. Meet Derek, CPA
Welcome to CXO!
My accounting career took flight auditing small and mid-size companies, which sparked my passion for delivering precise financial insights. I later joined Deloitte, diving into complex financial valuations as part of a prestigious Big 4 team. From there, I transitioned to the corporate side as CFO for two organizations with revenues of over $100 million, where I applied my experience to drive excellence and growth. I also opened a small tax consulting practice where he helped one client save over $80,000 in taxes over 2 years.
With this background, CXO formed, a one stop shop if you’re looking for a seasoned professional to transform your financial landscape, I look forward to connecting!

My journey began before I became an attorney, where I gained invaluable experience in real estate, insurance, and investing.
I have dedicated my legal practice to mastering the complexities of securities law and mergers and acquisitions. My experience spans across drafting airtight contracts and providing general counsel services specifically tailored for micro and small cap companies. With my extensive experience serving as legal counsel in taking companies public, I understand the intricate details of the IPO process and reverse merger transactions. My mission is to empower businesses to successfully navigate these complex situations with confidence and precision.
